Armand de Brignac's Brut Gold champagne is gold-plated developed by Cattier for the Andre Courreges fashion house. Cattiers gold bottle also made an appearance at Queen Elizabeth II of Englands Golden Jubilee celebration. The Champagne bottle is is delicately placed in a velvet bag and the labels are stamped out of real pewter, polished and applied by hand.
The Brut Gold champagne is very delicate and subtle. It contains golden fruit such as apple and nutmeg. The flavor was not too sweet, not too bubbly, and a very mild, tart finish. A solid apple and white grape character is imbued with a rich and creamy texture, moderate finish, and a very light hint of brewed tea in the glass. Priced from $300 per bottle.
