Harry Miller was a renowned engine builder as well as a dominant in Indy racing and his cars took a swath of Indy titles during the time, back in the 20's and 30's. The 1931 Miller V-16 race car is the only one and the most advanced Miller he ever built. Bearing a 303-cubic-inch, 300-horsepower and sixteen-cylinder engine.
The car was restored in 1978 by Chuck Davis, who painstakingly tracked down the original engine, which had been separated along the way from its chassis, and reunited the two ahead of an extensive restoration project. The 1931 Miller V-16 is expected to fetch between $600,000 and $1 million range.
