A Web of Fashion

Tyra Banks is understandably one of the most successful and iconic Supermodels of all time , for a reason.

The immaculate gorgeousness that she is. Those curves. That pretty head. Those eyes. The X-factor . The poise.

Only she could pull off a mask made entirely from simple netting , self-made no less, at the 90th Aniversary Vogue party . ( The party theme was 'Eyes Wide Shut' where all the famous guests came in their interpretation of masks.)

Matching her black bejewelled Roberto Cavali gown; she was a vision.

Indeed, she made headlines all over the world . With so many who diss her saying that what she wore was rubbish and cheap .

Know what? I LOVE IT .

Screw these brand-worshiping , brand-whoring self-proclaimed fashionistas.

This is why , Tyra's a massive Supermodel. She can carry off something so simple to exquisite effect.

Gorgeous and statuesque. Amazing

Supermodel Vogue Editor

Supermodel Heidi Klum guest edited the latest edition of German Vogue and was delighted when the fashion publication decided to dedicate 140 pages to her.

Heidi Klum was 'thrilled' to get a 140-page Vogue special.

The German edition of the fashion bible devoted the massive section to the country's most famous supermodel when she guest edited the latest issue.

She said: 'I grew up reading German Vogue and was really excited when they came to me with the idea for the 'Heidi by Vogue' issue.

It was a thrill working with the team of photographers, hair stylists, makeup artists and editors. We shot the entire issue in one week - it was a group effort!'

The issue sees Heidi - who is married to singer Seal and currently expecting her fourth child - model a wide range of fashion styles and offer life, career and style tips, but she says she couldn't single out her favourite.

She gushed: 'I love all the stories so much that I don't favour any of them.'

The blonde beauty enjoyed the experience was so enjoyable she hopes to repeat it in future.

She added to People.com: 'I would love the opportunity to be involved in a magazine like this again. I'm always up for a challenge!'

Jenny from the Block

Hey Gorgeous! Thank you for the sweet gift .

Always wanted to get this amazing bakery book, 'Gorgeous Cakes' by Annie Bell.

Now I do. And lovin it.

Precise recipes, tantalising pictures. Tasteful sugggestions. Great lay out. Inspiring.

One of the more 'yummy' books out there.

Ya all know what it's like right? Drooling photos which make us think we can do anything.

Annie Bell's done writing for Vogue before. So she's really quite 'up there'.

The 'sex-tion' on 'Dream Cakes' is heavenly.

I particularly like a phrase she used in the book's prologue
'Cakes-as-Fashion statement'.

So yeah, Thank you Babe for the pressie! ^^

Merry Xmas and a Happy happy new year.

Q .... XOXO

PS: The hols at Phuket could have been better I know... will make it up to you ok? Muack !

Fabulous Flab

Velvet D'Amour
Velvet d'Amour is arguably the World's First plus-sized Supermodel.

She who has modelled for Jean Paul Gaultier , John Galliano and a slew of other designer labels, and has appeared in the pages of numerous magazines world wide such as Bella , Choc , and most notably, Vogue .

Tall, beautiful, curvy, photogenic, confident and full of personality, she started out as a waif model just like any other out there.

There was even a time she suffered from eating disorders.
Struggling with self-esteem issues and other emotional turmoils, took a hold on her life.

All that behind her, these days, she's positive and full of vibrance.

Fashion and photography has always been a big part of Velvet's life. Especially the latter which she continues to indulge in even today.

So, when one fine day in late 2006, the opportunity came for her to strut her stuff once more, when the fashion industry began to turn up their snobbish noses at the unhealthily thin girls who were flooding the catwalks, Velvet was upfront and center.

(Tyra Banks' 'So What?' movement sure helps)

Strutting her stuff down the runway, to thunderous applause, her career as a model, ironically, only then , really took off.

Back then, she was but another struggling model in a sea of anonymous young girls who were hopelessly waiting and seriously starving.

Today, Velvet's FLAB-ULOUSLY BEAUTIFUL.

"Everyone's Beautiful"- JPG, indeed.
