Every girl can LOOK sexy.

This new limited edition Viktor & Rolf for Shu Uemura Eyelashes are super fabulous, they’re a bit “dramatic and exaggerated”.

But, this blog is all about drama isn't it?

Anyway, the collection was inspired by Marcel Marceau, the collection focuses on character Pierrot and reflects “themes of their Spring/Summer collection”.

There are three designs, the Wing (shown), Rhombus and Swirl.

Celeb eye lash gura Ja'Maal Buster, gave one as a gift to the fabulous Wendy Williams on her talk show.

(see bottom)

Q .... Me thinks all good (or bad?) girls should splurge on a pair of Shu's. I would think it is almost a beauty/fashion essential , just like having a classic black cocktail dress and a pair of strappy heels. (Just saying, because I am just so attracted to a girl who knows to dress up)

White Gown for Purity Black gown for Sin

Shu Uemura Black Gown lashes

Girls can dream to have on Jimmy Choo's and a big white Vera Wang.

But there 's only 1 brand you go to for dramatic lashes to make you drop dead gorgeous ( not that you'll want to drop dead on your wedding day) ; so at least your ex-boy friend will be cussing in the aisle wondering what a fool he was for letting you go.

These amazingly beautiful Black Gown lashes (yes , they are made of Lace ,not hairs) by Shu Uemura will make you beyond ravishing.

They were featured by celebrity lash guru Ja'Maal Buster at The Wendy Williams show, wowing the crowd with a pair of these on a model-girl.

Even drama mama , Wendy Williams , herself, was smitten.

Q.... lovely.

Au revoir YSL

A recent advert featuring a male model (top) intimately emulating an iconic ad which YSL ,himself, did years ago (bottom, w specs).

You know that times are changing when more and more of the World's Fashion greats like Isabella Blow, Shu Uemura and of course, more recently , Mr YSL, himself, pass on.

Christian Dior, Coco Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent .... these are titanic names synonymous with everything high fashion and culturally pivotal.

People who know very little about fashion or who are more into trends (or are simply frumps), will be thinking what is all the big deal about a 'certain Yves Saint Laurent' , passing.

Two Words : 'Haute Couture'

He was known to be a creative genius bar none and also helped launched the careers of some of the biggest black supermodels in the business such as the late Katoucha (who also recently died in a tragic unsolved murder case), Naomi Campbell , whom gave her her first Italian Vogue cover and Tyra Banks, whom was given one of her first big breaks during her early days in Europe.

Well, if you've got the French President Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy and his ex-supermodel wife Carla Bruni, personally attending his wake, you should at least know for sure, that YSL was someone ... BIG.

Very Big. Very Influential.

He will be missed.

Q

... THE passing of yet another Legend.

Lash Legend

Mr Shu Uemura.
Make-up and beauty master; an Icon.

Known for his immense talent, expertise and pioneer in the business of making women beautiful inside and out.

The health of a woman's skin, he believed, was paramount and Uemura's reputation was for enhancing natural beauty — not artificially creating it.

His philosophy:
"Beautiful Make up starts with beautiful Skin "

While nature was a selling point in Uemura cosmetics (Depsea Water , spelt correctly btw, is a common ingredient and itself a best seller ), he also knew that women loved theatricality too. Products such as the brand's eyelash curlers, makeup brushes and eyebrow styling are coveted everywhere. Twiggy would be jealous of the selection of false eyelashes in the Tokyo Eyelash Bar collection, coming in voluptuous lengths, colors and sparkling crystals — or the diamond version that Uemura created for Madonna.
(Where the Great master worked)

Even great lives come to an End.

Uemura, died of acute pneumonia on Dec. 29 in Tokyo at the age of 79.
His funeral was held on Jan. 4.

He is survived by his wife and a son. L'Oreal, the group which he sold his company to for hell lot of money, will hold a memorial service in Tokyo for Uemura at the end of January.

The loss of the Lash Legend.
