David Beckham is one of the most famous people in the world. His latest advertising campaign for Emporio Armani underwear unveiled with a six-storey high image of his wash board abs with a coiled rope on the facade of Selfridges flagship London store. Fans screamed as the poster was unveiled outside Selfridges and he was introduced on to a stage by sports presenter Gabby Logan. Beckham told the crowd: "I'm very proud to be here today."
According to Giorgio Armani, the soccer star has "a great sense of style and is an inspiring role model."
The six-storey high ad covered the complete facade of Selfridges flagship London store. The street was cordoned off by police as fans crowded the entrance to get a look at Beckham in the flesh.
The celebrated footballer/style icon Beckham is introduced to the fans by BBC Sports broadcaster Gabby Logan.
