Today, in the papers, I was flabbergasted to read that some of the hottest clubs in the scene right now are refusing the prerogative right of every fairer sex out there : Ladies' Night.
Those over the 'grand old age ' (0f) 35 , that is.
I mean, if that's the case, Demi Moore, Julia Roberts, Whitney Houston, Sandra Bullock, Naomi Campbell et al wouldn't be encouraged to enter these clubs without paying (not that they cannot afford it).
Let's face it, older women are NOT un-attractive. They are like wine. The older they are the finer they get. They are financially stable. They've got experience. They've got better opinions and taste. They can hold better conversations ( so it ain't always about clothes and hair and cheating boy friends etc.)
They don't need you to pay for their drinks or their cab fares or that dinner date or the hotel bill.... get the point? (slap me, I know, hee hee)
The idea that some of those clubs had was that younger girls attract the male clientele they are targeting.
But let me pull their ears and listen up: Not all men dig dating girls born the day the cell phone was invented.
These men, who DO HAVE the spending power to splurge hundreds of dollars on liquor aren't pre-pubescent boys.
They prefer to talk about cars, money, deals and romance. Not game-boys, PS2s, basketball, soccer or motorbikes.
Some young girls don't even know that 'V' stands for Vagina for god's sake.
But older women, whom have reached a stage in their lives to safely and confidently say ' Been -there-done-that", can. They've seen more. Been through more. And yes, they can talk about that potential diamond ring and upscale apartment. They are in the position to talk about Vertu rather than Nokia.
So my advise to these antediluvian clubs, let the Ladies' Night be truly and justifiably FREE FOR ALL girls/ladies/women.
More Ladies of ALL ages mean they'll attract Men of ALL ages.
They can do the Maths.
