Be the Bird. Be the Bee.

I'm totally head-over-heels-over this group right now.

The Bird and the Bee is an indie/pop/alternative musical duo from Los Angeles, consisting of musicians Greg Kurstin ("bee") and Inara George ("bird").

Their hit album :

The big hit lead single:

Retrofied. Subtle. Style mavens. Class act.

Watch their performances live on Kimmel or Ellen and you'd be totally smitten by these muses.

They are spot on good. Inspiring. Engaging. A joy.

Finally, true artists comfortable in their element.

Q.. no words to describe their finesse.

In darkness we Party anyway

Well, all the hype of Earth Hour came and went.

We expected total darkness in the world. Expected.

A day of conscience. A day to allow earth to breathe a little. To allow Ghia rest her resources just for that precious 60 minutes.

Well, let's put it this way, no one gave a hoot.

And the only reason why I can still proudly claim that me and my fam did do our part in making Earth Hour a success is that NO ONE WAS BLARDY AT HOME ON A TYPICAL SATURDAY NIGHT during that time slot.

Who would leave the lights on then?

DUH?????!!!

Magic Book of Tricks ....

.... allows me to be Everything. Anytime. Anywhere.

This couple of weeks had been totally crazy and I realised there's so much to do and time's running out.

So I began to realise how I missed those days where I could multi task and still hang wherever I want or the very least , still watch my fav. TV!

Yes, I am talking about having a lappie.

But I also realised that if I ever wanted another one, it had better be so so so small because I hate bulk. Period.

I can never understand why people are obsessed with size even when it comes to lappies.

I mean, if i ever wanted a big screen with a ton of functionaly (and happen to drive a Hummer to conveniently lug it all), , I'd tow a desk top computer every where then.

But what I want is it small. Danty. Petite. Convenient to run a marathon with
(almost). And you get the idea.

Yes, so I want a Netbook.

Those super tiny ones. ^^)

Here's a bit of trivia I stumbbled upon on the net:

JK On The Run writes that Google will no longer accept ads that use the term "netbook." Psion asserts its trademark on the term, adopted by Intel and others to refer generically to the latest generation of cheap subnotebooks.

Psion let us know that Google has investigated the trademark claim and determined that “netbook” is indeed a protected trademark. Google does these investigations as they are impacted when they run ads on their network. The determination by Google that the term “netbook” is duly registered and protected has prompted them to inform their ad customers that the term can no longer be used in Google ads.

It's easy to assume that the term, already in wide currency by people who never even heard of the Psion Netbook, is already doomed to genericide. But unlike patent trolls and other IP scum, Prion did make a netbook called The Netbook and still sells parts for it. It put money (and manufacturing) where its mouth was.

You'll notice how all along, many netbook makers never called their netbook a netbook. Dell never calls the Mini 9 a netbook.

AMD calls them "mini-notebooks," and an exec there told me that it expects most analysts will do likewise.

Asus folks will refer to Eee PCs as netbooks, but only casually, in person: it even has a defined strategy of trying to make "Eee PC" a popular term for netbooks in general.

So every cent Intel spent marketing "netbooks" might soon have been spent marketing someone else's netbook... assuming Psion-Teklogic is ready to actually release an update ... to its 5 year old Netbook!~

The chaise displays an unconventional geometry to blend with its diverse material. In short, the Dancing Line depicting an exceptional flexibility is a unique blend of form and functionality."

Lamborbiker: Lamborghini Inspired Bike Runs On Osmos Wheels - The Design blog

Lamborbiker: Lamborghini Inspired Bike Runs On Osmos Wheels - The Design blog: "There is nothing astonishing about hubless wheels nowadays, but when they are associated with the brand names like Lamborghini, BMW or Mercedes, they are bound to attract the attention of many a viewers, if not buyers. This is possibly the thought behind the latest bike called “Lamborbiker” by Flavio, which derives inspiration from Marcello Gandini (chief designer of Bertone), Osmos wheel and Lamborghini Countach. Agreed, one can postpone the appeal of hubless Osmos wheels, but it wouldn’t be easy for the bike enthusiasts to resist the power and sleekness of the Lamborghini."

Lamborghini Unveils LP650-4 Roadster Super Car

Lamborghini LP650-4 Roadster
For the über-rich, second-best is never good enough. Lamborghini knows that and has therefore launched a more extreme — and pricier — version of its already expensive Murciélago LP640, realizing there will always be enough wealthy punters to buy them.

Lambo has screwed 10 more horses out of the 6.5-litre V12, splashed on some orange body bits and given it a new name: The LP650-4 Roadster.

Only 50 will be made and bought by those who think the standard Murcie isn’t fast or striking enough.

Even though it’s essentially the same car, thanks to 660Nm of torque, the 0-100kph run is now dispatched in 3.4 seconds, 0.4-seconds faster than the standard LP640 — a massive performance improvement, apparently.

The top speed is now about 330kph.

The special edition model will boast a ‘Grigio Telesto’ exterior — that’s grey-and-orange paintjob in plain speak.

There’s a smattering of LP 650-4 logos, in recognition of the car’s increased power. And in keeping with the Tang colour scheme, it also gets orange brake callipers and a cabin lavished with striking orange trim.

The roof is still canvas and requires a degree in quantum physics to build (it’s manual). Moreover, with the roof in place, the top-speed is still limited to a weedy 175kph — any faster and it’ll just blow away.

Being Bobby Brown

Simon Cowell
says Bobby Brown tops his list of rudest stars.

The 'American Idol' judge loves discussing arrogant celebrities with his friends, adding he has a top 10 list of famous people he dislikes.

He explained: 'It's a great game, I always do this. Whenever we go out, I always say to people, whoever it is - drivers, stewardesses - I always ask, 'Who is the rudest person you've ever met?' We play it every time we go out to dinner and we've got a current top 10 and we always update every week.

Bobby Brown has literally been number one for six years.'

Q... Bad Boy Bobby Brown

Thank god Whitney left him.

Lenovo Toxic Style Cellphone By Ryan Ma

Lenovo Toxic Style Cellphone By Ryan Ma

I have been covering design and technology for many years now and the product design that excites me the most is the Cellphone. If you trace it from its origins, you will be amazed to see how this communication device has transformed from a basic wireless telephone to a fashion gizmo that packs it in all. If it’s not the camera, projector or touchscreen prowess, then it’s the blinged look that this device boasts of. Here’s a look at the Poison that brings a transparent LCD screen to the device. Looking more like a perfume bottle than a phone, it’s toxic!

FUNtastic?

My charming committee just spent an atomic bomb on a Wii gaming console.

It's the type of sport an arm chair potato absolutely digs.

And there I was pondering, where's the fun in that?

Italian luxury yacht builder Riva will debut a new model designed specifically for the American market, the 52-ft. Rivale Palm Beach. The boat’s deck and hull are finished in a new color, desert sand, with Roman bronze detailing on the dashboard and signal mast evoking the image of a shark’s flipper. The Rivale Palm Beach is equipped with two 1100-hp Man engines, for a top speed of 40 knots and range of 260 nautical miles at cruising speed. A Livable Space Squeezed Into Three Cubic Meters - Gizmo Watch

A Livable Space Squeezed Into Three Cubic Meters - Gizmo Watch: "Japanese architects have created a weird little place to double up as your second home. Jo Nagasaka and the Schemata Architecture Office have created a full-fledged livable space in just 30 square feet. The diminutive size does not mean that the place is missing facilities; it has a recessed desk, a hammock, a sink, a toilet and a shower. We guess the Paco home will make one awesome treehouse, assuming you can somehow get this thing up there."

Comeback Queen of the Night

Move over Britney, Whitney Houston is ready to take the title of comeback queen.

And David Foster, the legendary hit-maker for stars ranging from Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion to Madonna and Michael Jackson, is finally talking about his reunion with the superstar.

Foster collaborated with Houston on the blockbuster soundtrack single "I Will Always Love You." He knows fans are wondering if she's ready to resume her hugely successful career after years battling her personal demons.

Q: You and Whitney are finally together again. How is she doing?

David Foster: I was in the studio with her last week. She's in great shape and she looks good. We have this fantastic song that Diane Warren wrote and we went in and recorded it. It went really well. Her work ethic was exactly the way it was when we did the song for The Bodyguard. She worked incredibly hard for two nights and we came up with something really good.

Q: Whitney has been through some tough times. Do you think she has her life and career back on track?

DF: I think she's going to have a great album out within the year. Whitney is a girl that everybody would like to see come back and, in this case, it really would be a comeback. A lot of people say, 'Come back? I never left.' But Whitney did leave and she hasn't recorded in about 10 years, I believe. So this truly would be a comeback.

Songwriter Diane Warren had something to say about the the song she wrote for Houston.

Q: What's the song about, Diane?

Diane Warren: I don't usually write music with someone in mind. But I set out to write this song specifically for Whitney and it's called "I Didn't Know My Own Strength." It definitely touches on her life, but I think a lot of people will relate to it because they've gone through hard times too.

Q: How was her performance?

DW: I was praying that Whitney was going to be able to nail it and she exceeded my expectations. She sang the s*** out of that song. Seriously, it was amazing. I'll tell you something, Whitney is back. Let there be no doubt.
